Product FAQs
Over the years we’ve answered hundreds of questions from Boroleum® users about a wide range of topics. For your convenience, we've listed some of the most frequently asked questions below.
Q: Where can I buy Boroleum®?
A: Boroleum® Ointment is available at pharmacies and drug counters nationwide within the United States. If you don't see Boroleum® on the shelf at your local store, check with the on-duty pharmacist (it may be stored behind the counter). If your pharmacy or drug counter does not have Boroleum® in stock, simply ask the Pharmacist to order it in for you. Q: What makes Boroleum® Ointment different?
A: Boroleum® Ointment is mild, gentle and soothing: Boroleum® is very gentle on skin - even delicate facial skin around the nose and nasal passages - and is so mild it may be safely used for children as young as two years of age. And unlike nasal products that contain more powerful concentrations of odorants, Boroleum®'s subtle, refreshing menthol-eucalyptol scent has been described by users as "mild", "light", "soft", "gentle" and "airy".
Boroleum® is versatile: Unlike some single-purpose nasal products, Boroleum® Ointment is versatile and may be used to provide soothing, effective relief of a wide range of common nasal problems including nasal redness, itchiness and irritation due to cold or nasal allergy symptoms. Boroleum® is a gentle, effective skin protectant - perfect for soothing, moisturizing relief of dry, cracked or raw nasal skin, chapped lips and "wind-burn". Boroleum® provides gentle, effective relief of lifestyle-related and environmental nasal soreness or discomfort due to hot, dry or low-humidity conditions, frigid and windy or harsh conditions. Boroleum® may even be used by patients undergoing oxygen therapy, sleep apnea treatments and other respiratory therapies to help moisturize dry nasal passages (or "dry-nose") caused by the drying effects of constant airflow through the nasal passages and to help minimize chaffing or soreness caused by use of an air-mask.
Boroleum® is easy to use anywhere nasal discomfort may occur: Unlike nasal products that come in awkward, wet or bulky dispensers, Boroleum® comes in a small, convenient 4" tube (with an easy-to-grip re-sealable cap) so it can be easily carried in a purse or coat pocket. And unlike inconvenient sprays or rinses, with Boroleum® all you need is a little dab to the affected area, for a whole lot of soothing relief.

In Winter, Boroleum®'s unique combination of ingredients gently seals and protects delicate facial skin and can be used to help relieve nasal soreness, dry, chapped lips and wind-burned facial cheeks caused by exposure to frigid, windy or harsh conditions. In Summertime - and in hot, dry, low-humidity environments year-round - Boroleum® gently moisturizes nasal passages, and can help relieve chapped lips, "dry nose" and other nasal problems caused by hot, dry conditions. Visit our Year-round with Boroleum® page for more examples of Boroleum®'s year-round versatility.
